The Security button
changes the current security and privacy
settings in the Internet Explorer. It is, for example, a convenient way of disabling
script execution before surfing pages with many pop-up windows.
The toolbar defines three different security levels: High, Medium and Low. Low corresponds to Microsofts default security level, which is called Medium-High, just to confuse the matter. This means that the toolbar won't let you change the security level below what Microsoft recommeds, it will only let you strengthen the security.
Besides changing the security level the Security button changes the privacy level. The privacy level decides how cookies are handled. Cookies are disabled when the security level is set to High or Medium from the toolbar.
The active security level is indicated on the Security button.

To change the current security level click the Security button. The change does not affect pages that are already loaded by the Internet Explorer.
To disable script execution (and pop-up windows) set the security level to High or Medium.
